Cat-Led metal band CATTERA Drops debut single to support Cat Rescue

It’s going to be hard in the cat world, that’s heavy metal.

Meet Roope-Shakir.

He’s a reformed street cat who has a lot to say and he expresses those feelings as loudly as possible as the front man for CATTERA. A rock band of four that “came from the streets of NYC”. Their debut single “Hunger of the Beast” just came out and it’s a blast.

You can rock your claws for just a dollar knowing that money is going to charity. While the price is a bargain for such an epic overture, you are welcome to donate more for CATTERA, as “100% of the route sales and additional donations go directly to Whiskers-A-GoGo”. With this Brooklyn cat rescue, Roope-Shakir found his way off the street to his eternal home, where he could finally take his time and nurture his creative talents.

And this clay-rich tabby was in the right home to begin his career as a meow. Roope-Shakir’s mom is Fearless Records Product Manager Anna Mrzyglocki, and she knows talent when she hears it. And in her beloved Furbaby, she heard mountains of potential.

“I knew that Roope-Shakir had star power from the moment he walked into my apartment,” Anna explained. “I heard his emotional meow and knew he had to be the front cat of a metal band. It sparked a passion for A&R that I never knew I had. “

And don’t think that Roope-Shakir is just an industry creation. His paws have really seen life on the street and it is these memories that fuel his fur talents further.

How does the meowing metalhead feel about his hard work?

“I’m thrilled to be releasing my first track with CATTERA as I’m a huge fan of OG Animal Kingdom Metal bands like Hatebeak and Caninus,” purred Roope-Shakir. “I hope I can be an inspiration to all street cats that have something to say.”

Since so many cats know life on the street before they find their home forever, CATTERA’s cat fans can identify with their texts. You feel what Roope-Shakir has to say. They are already bending metal combat vests and are waiting for more from their musical overlord.

Keep rocking to adopt and rescue cats, and check out CATTERA singer Roope-Shakir hard at work in the studio. He shows us what makes a cat feel metallic!
